Welcome to LAR Brixton!
At LAR Brixton we are all about building confidence and learning key performance skills. We have a Christmas performance and a Summer performance for parents, friends and family. LAR Brixton is a registered LAMDA Exam Centre with exams taking place each Spring. LAMDA counts towards UCAS Points. Read more about the benefits of LAMDA here.

Class Timetable

VENUE: Corpus Christi Church Hall, 11 Trent Road, Brixton, SW2 5BJ
Performing Arts includes Singing, Acting and Dancing - we explore Musical Theatre, Jazz Dance and Drama with our teachers Julius and Lauren. Students also have the opportunity to take LAMDA Exams.
Drama taught by Julius, builds confidence and develops reading and performance skills. Students also have the opportunity to take LAMDA Exams. Read more about LAMDA here
Street Dance with Lauren is a high energy fun dance class. Learn the foundations of Street Dance - locking, popping and hip hop.
We offer collection from Corpus Christi School. Please select this option when booking.

We ask children to wear a LAR T-shirt for their LAMDA Exams and recommend that children wear jazz shoes or trainers for our classes.
Please note that all of our classes are "drop-off"

FEES
Payment is termly. Pay as you go booking opens on the first day back, if there are spaces in the class.

Julius Wills - Vice-Principal of LAR
Julius is Vice-Principal of LAR Performing Arts. His classes include preparing for optional LAMDA Acting / Verse & Prose Exams. Julius' students have a 100% pass rate.
Julius focuses on developing the skills required for vocal projection and articulation. His classes build confidence and encourage children to be brave by thinking outside the box.
Julius trained with the Year Out Drama Company, based in Stratford-Upon-Avon and then continued his studies with the Fourth Monkey Actor Training Company.
Julius' professional credits include Edmund in Shakespeare's King Lear, Lopahin in Cherry Orchard, Bertram in Shakespeare's All's Well That Ends Well, Rodrigo in Shakespeare's Othello, Benedick in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing and Antonio in Shakespeare's The Merchant Of Venice. Most recently Julius played the role of Buttons in Cinderella.
Georgia Blizzard - Performing Arts Teacher
Georgia was born and raised in Australia & received her Bachelor of Dramatic Arts (Acting) from the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney. She has worked professionally across theatre, film, and television, with TV credits including HOME & AWAY and THE SINGAPORE GRIP, and film credits including THOR: RAGNAROK and EMU RUNNER. She has a wide range of teaching experience across a variety of disciplines, and believes whole-heartedly in the many benefits of performing arts classes for children.
