Louisa Alice-Rose - Principal of LAR Performing Arts

Louisa is an accomplished soprano and classical crossover singer as well as an experienced teacher and vocal coach. Louisa's latest song - You Are Not Alone - was released on 27th November and went to the top of the iTunes Classical Charts!

Louisa trained at Sylvia Young Theatre School, Tring Park School for the Performing Arts and the Royal Northern College Of Music. Louisa has a First Class Honours Degree in Vocal Studies and Opera. Louisa is also a qualified Vocal Health First Aider.

Louisa teaches group and one-to-one singing as well as leading the LAR Pop Choir. Her students have had great success at West End & UK Tour Musical Theatre Auditions, Watford Music Festival, Chesham Music Festival, Teenstar Competition, West End In Competition and many more.  All of Louisa's students have achieved high Merit or Distinction in their LAMDA Musical Theatre Exams.

Louisa was the vocal coach for Tring Youth Theatre's production of Joseph at Pendley Court Theatre in 2019.

Louisa's performance credits include Les Miserables (West End), Joseph (West End), a nomination for a BRIT Award in 2018, several operas at the Royal Albert Hall and solo recitals at Hampton Court Palace.

Julius Wills - Vice-Principal of LAR Performing Arts

Julius is our LAMDA and Drama teacher. His classes include preparation for LAMDA Acting / Verse & Prose Exams.

Julius focuses on developing the skills required for vocal projection and articulation. His classes build confidence and encourage children to be brave by thinking outside the box. 

Julius' students have had great success at West End Auditions and local Drama festivals as well as excelling in their LAMDA Exams.

Julius trained with the Year Out Drama Company, based in Stratford-Upon-Avon and then continued his studies with the Fourth Monkey Actor Training Company.

Julius' professional credits include Edmund in Shakespeare's King Lear, Lopahin in Cherry Orchard, Bertram in Shakespeare's All's Well That Ends Well, Rodrigo in Shakespeare's Othello, Benedick in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing and Antonio in Shakespeare's The Merchant Of Venice. Julius is the Artistic Director of Broken Word Productions and can be seen regularly at the Camden Fringe Festival as a writer, director and actor.

Syanne Day - Dance Teacher

Syanne teaches our Dance classes on Tuesdays. Syanne's classes are Mixed Style - drawing technique from Ballet & Contemporary.

Syanne trained at Elmhurst Ballet School in Birmingham until the age of 16 and then moved to London to complete her training at the English National Ballet School. Syanne graduated from English National Ballet School in 2015 with a Diploma in Professional Dance. 

Syanne has worked with the English National Ballet on many occasions. She toured the UK with them in their production of Swan Lake, completing the tour with performances at The London Coliseum and The Royal Albert Hall.

Recently, Syanne has been performing with Mercurial Dance in and around Birmingham, merging both contemporary and classical styles of dance.

Syanne teaches workshops and classes in many styles of dance including ballet, contemporary, jazz, salsa and flamenco to a range of age groups at schools and gyms throughout Hertfordshire. We are very lucky to have her!

Lizzie Evans - Street Dance Teacher & General Cover Teacher

Lizzie trained at Performers College where she obtained a diploma in Musical Theatre and Dance training.

Her credits include Peter Pan: ensemble and U/s Tiger-Lily , Cinderella: dance captain and ensemble, (PHA Pantomimes), BRIT Awards: dancer for Dua Lipa, multiple Bollywood films: dancer , and she has recently returned from the German tour of “An American in Paris.”

Helayna Liviero - Street Dance Teacher

Helayna's classes teach the foundations of Street Dance - including Locking, Popping and Hip Hop.

Helayna is a graduate of Performers College, where she received a Level 6 Diploma in Dance Theatre in 2017. A qualified Street Dance teacher, Helayna gained her Level 4 Diploma with Distinction back in 2012 with Urban Strides. 

Professional performance credits include: Peter Pan and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Pantomime, UK Productions as Ensemble/Dancer (Aylesbury Waterside Theatre), Aladdin Pantomime, Paul Holman Associates as Ms Bassett/Dancer (Chesterfield Pomegranate Theatre), 2016 AQA GCSE Contemporary choreography demonstration video (Nikki O'Hara), NFL Opening Ceremony (Mass Movement), Young Voices Arena Tour (Urban Strides).

Will Banister - Drama Teacher

Will trained with the Year Out Drama Company and following that, the Comeback Company, both in Stratford-Upon-Avon. While there he benefited from the vocational design of the course, their strong focus on ensemble and their ties with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Will has a passion for acting in many forms, including classic and contemporary plays, music theatre, film, TV and voiceover. He also enjoys writing his own material and directing for theatre and film. Will has appeared in theatre as Borachio in Much Ado About Nothing, John Hale in 'The Crucible', Joseph Freitas Jr. in 'Execution of Justice' & Frank in 'A Vampire's Story' . 

Will has been teaching acting for many years and takes real pride in seeing his students grow in skill and confidence. 

Ashley Turner - Singing Teacher

Ashley is a freelance singing coach, musical director and composer and has worked for a number of companies across UK and Europe. After graduating with a first class BA(hons) in Performing, he toured Germany, Denmark and Sweden. On returning to the UK he gained his MA in Opera and Music Theatre from the University of Sussex. Since graduating he has composed work for theatre and contemporary dance companies and his work has been heard in many venues including, The Tobacco Factory (Bristol, UK), The Lowry (Manchester, UK) and Mercat des las Flores (Barcelona, Spain). 

Ashley has taught singing, voice and led choirs for universities and training colleges including, University of Cumbria, Bucks College Group and ArtsEd, London. He also teaches privately to students of all ages with a focus on Musical Theatre and professional audition preparation.

As Musical Director Ashley's credits include, Merrily We Roll Along, Gypsy, The Pajama Game, Cinderella, Bernada Alba, Pippin, Urinetown, Sister Act, Bad Girls (the musical), Calamity Jane. Ashley continues his singing professional development and research with Jeremy Fisher and Dr Gillyane Kayes.
